The Township of North Dundas (“the Township”) is a lower tier Municipality in Eastern Ontario. The Township provides a strategic location for residents and business due to its proximity to the City of Ottawa, Highway 416, County Road 31/Bank Street and the railway that runs through the municipality. The Township is comprised of the villages of Winchester, Chesterville, Morewood, Inkerman, Hallville, Mountain and South Mountain and is home to approximately 13,000 residents and 5,103 households (MPAC 2025). As a fast-growing municipality in Eastern Ontario, the Township is committed to providing a broad range of amenities and services to its residents and visitors alike. The Township is responsible for the provision of fire protection, by-law enforcement, emergency management, parks, recreation, cemeteries, local roads and bridges, snow removal, drainage, land-use planning, economic development, libraries, sewer and water services, and general municipal government and administration. The 2026 budget for the Township is approximately $16.5 million and its fiscal year is January 1st to December 31st. The Township uses Vadim software for financial functions including payroll, general ledger, budgeting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Citywide software is utilized for asset management purposes. Individual functions are funded through a combination of tax levies, government funding and grants and service fees. The Township of North Dundas is seeking proposals from qualified auditors to provide municipal audit services in accordance with the information contained in this Request for Proposal (“RFP”). |
